Fleur (Fleur de Lis) – SOLD
Standardbred Mare
16.2 hands
12 year old

Fleur - SOLD
Fleur de Lis, Standardbred Mare 16.2hh and 12 year old, has been a part of our trekking team since 2018 after retiring from the racing industry with only 2 starts, under the name Consider Me Now. Fleur thrives on having a relationship with her rider/person and is always the first one at the gate ready to get going. She was head shy when she first came to us but this is no longer a big issue but she does prefer someone with a gentle, quiet hand. Having been tongue tied while racing, she is best suited to being ridden bitless in which she focuses very well. She can rush and be unsteady on her feet at the beginning of the ride but listens well to leg, seat and voice aids which quickly settle her down. Fleur is a big fan of water and loves to splash herself. Under the guidance of staff she has taken beginner clients but is best suited to someone with more experience, she tends to have more go than woah. Fleur can be mare-ish at times, particularly when grooming her girth area. Her ideal person will be able to establish a firm leadership with her, where her mare-ish moments will be easily able to overcome. Fleur is a sweet and inquisitive mare who will only improve with time and work put in. Due to Covid-19, our trekking client base has reduced to where Fleur is no longer being used to her fullest potential- this is through no fault of her own. Because of this she is currently out of work. We would just love to see Fleur end up in a loving home, with an experienced horse person. If you think you might be that person please get in touch.

Fletch – SOLD
Thoroughbred gelding
16.2 hands
13 years old
Price $ 2000,-

Fletch
Fletch, Thoroughbred 16.2 hh and 13 years of age, has been a part of our riding school having been used as a lesson horse for experienced clients in his time here. Fletch is a sweet horse who thrives on a one on one relationship. However, in a riding school this is not as easy to provide and we only want the best for him- hence why he is for sale. He is respectful on the ground and loves a good cuddle but tends to be more nervous under saddle and looks to his rider for confidence. However, with consistent work and time put in, he has schooled well on the flat and had a go at a few jumps.
He does struggle with the contact though and will need a kind rider to bring out the best in him. He has been living in a large herd in recent months as he is out of work, where he is low in the pecking order and doesn’t cause trouble with others. Fletch can have his tb moments, for anyone seriously interested we would be happy to discuss this further. In our opinion we think he would do best with an experienced, patient rider and horse person in whom he gets to have the best friend he wants and deserves. Feet, teeth and worming are all up to date.

Bug (Bugaloo) – SOLD
Standerdbred gelding
16.1 hands
10 year

Bug - SOLD
Bug, Standardbred gelding, 16.1hh and 11 year old, has been a part of our trekking team since 2018 after retiring from a fairly successful racing career, under the name Mon Richie. He has since learned the basics on the ground and under saddle and has proven to be a trusty trek horse. He has a well-established trot, but is not yet super balanced in the canter. When in full work and under the guidance of staff he has taken beginner clients and hasn’t put a foot wrong, but is suited better to someone with more experience. Bug is always one of the first to come and say hello in the paddock and loves human company. He has been living in a herd of 17 in which he does very well, he is not a super dominant horse. He can be stubborn at times and is quite focused on food but with the right person this won’t be any real issue. Due to Covid-19, our trekking client base has reduced to where Bug is no longer being used to his fullest potential- this is through no fault of his own. Because of this he is currently out of work. We would just love to see Bug end up in a happy home, with an experienced horse person. If you think you might be that person please get in touch. Feet, teeth and worming are all up to date
